Yesterday morning when Roby got home from work he had a little smirk on his face that I could tel he was trying to hide. He had a story to tell me, so I had to wait to find out what was up. At his work, they had been trying to fix the same thing on the aircraft all week. Two twelve hour shifts couldn’t figure out what was wrong for over five days. Well, guess who fixed it?!?! Yup, Roby decided to try something no one else had thought of, and it worked. After the morning meeting, everyone was congratulating him because that was how stressed they’d all been about getting the damn thing fixed. As he was getting ready to go home one of his supervisors thanked him and told him that he got the night off because he fixed it! How freakin’ hilarious is that?!? He got a day off because he’s smart enough to do his job! Its actually a really good thing though, because of the exercise going on he would have had to work three full weeks straight–two of which being on 12 hour shifts.

So, yesterday evening we played on our computers while we watched the Super Duper Game. This was the first time in five years that we’ve been able to watch it during the day! I think we only stayed up for it once while we were in Germany, and that was because our home state team was playing against Roby’s favorite team. I spent a lot of time putting TONS of songs (from cd’s/hard drive) on my pretty new laptop to eventually sync with my ipod. I’ve had my little ipod nano for at least a year and have yet to make my own play lists…I usually make Roby just add a bunch of songs for me. I’m very proud of myself, although I’m not even close to being done!

Steph mentioned that I didn’t add a link or picture when I said I got my spiffy new toy…so here are a couple pics to satisfy her!   (Don’t mind all the fingerprints…I guess thats what happens when the computer is black and glossy instead of silver.)

 

Isn’t this pretty?!?! I thin it looks really cool. I had a hard time trying to get a picture of it…this was the best shot of many!

It even has some designs by the keypad. I’m loving it if you can’t tell!

 

I really need to get off the computer now (I just spent quite some time trying to figure out how to resize pictures in Photoshop Elements), but have to share a few videos before I do. The first two are adds that were on during the game.

I LOVE how JT says, “Hey to you” in the end. Just watch!

And really, who doesn’t need a little Will Ferrell fix every now and then???
