Santa Surprise

At work two weeks ago there was a thing saying that if you wrote a letter to “Santa” asking for something in the store under $50 and put it in a stocking, he would consider getting it for you for Christmas. I figured, what the hell, its worth a shot. So, the last day we could write the letters I wrote one asking for a new jacket.

Yesterday when I showed up to work “Santa” asked me to come in his office. Apparently the store was doing well enough that everyone that took the time to write a letter got what they wanted. He handed me my jacket (that they chose) and said, “Thanks for all your hard work, you’re doing a wonderful job!” (I then preceded to ask him about getting more hours in the upcoming months, and he said that when things slow down they can probably “cross train” me so I can get more…like its really difficult…whatever, we’ll see.)

Not only that, but everyone in the store got a Bullseye Dog too.

I thought it was pretty cool, and it was for sure more than I ever got out of my high school experience in retail.

I have to laugh here, because I was really excited about getting a free jacket…and I thought it was pretty cute. When Roby saw it he goes, “What the hell is that? And do you plan on wearing it???” I had been planning on wearing it. He then preceded to tell me that it was cheap, ugly, and I had no fashion sense (this was not meant to be mean at all…you might have to know him to find this funny). Hmmmm But now I don’t know…and wonder what else he thinks is ugly that I wear!!! :D

Yes people, this is all I have to talk about right now…sorry!  If you want something else, you can check out my kids’ Christmas Parties!!!

  1. snicker :) and I bet you can’t exchange it b/c there’s no receipt :)

  2. Huh, and I thought it looked pretty cool when I clicked on the link! I think it’s nice that they did that. Seems kind of weird that they make it sound like getting more hours is difficult.

  3. I agree with JC as I saw the coat and was like “thats awesome, I hope it keeps her warm. Sure it looks like a big marshmallow but its still cute”. I say you get Roby one to match!

I do hope they work with you on the hours though because I dont see why they wouldnt. My biggest question for places like that is…they bitch about turnover but wont work with the people they have. Does this make sense? They are asking for the turnover in my opinion. The confussion and complaints that follows.

    Merry Christmas Beautiful!
